Nigerian Navy DSSC Course 29 Recruitment 2023/2024 | Application Link

The Nigerian Navy has announced the start of the recruitment process for the DSSC Course 29.

The applications portal is now open for qualified Nigerians who are interested in joining the Nigerian Navy through the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29.

General Information for Candidates:

  1. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
  2. Applicants are strongly advised not to provide false information or submit fake certificates. If any false information or fake certificates are discovered at any stage, the applicant will be disqualified and may face legal action.
  3. Applicants must have a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division for those with a First degree, and Upper Credit for HND holders. Having computer literacy skills will be an advantage in all fields.
  4. Applicants must have certificates of full registration with their respective professional bodies in Nigeria.
  5. Applicants who have obtained credentials from foreign institutions must ensure that the certificates are authenticated by the Federal Ministry of Education. Copies of all certificates must be submitted at the chosen aptitude test centers.
  6. All applicants must provide their O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), along with any other results such as NECO. It is mandatory to have a credit in Mathematics and English.
  7. The NYSC discharge certificate or a letter of exemption from NYSC is a compulsory requirement for enlistment.
  8. Male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.65 meters tall.
  9. To apply, individuals must be between the ages of 22 and 28 by March 25, 2024. However, Medical Officers should not exceed 30 years of age.
  10. Current personnel, including Soldiers, Ratings, Airmen, and other paramilitary service members, must obtain a signed letter of attestation from their unit leaders.
  11. Applicants will be selected for a qualifying aptitude test. The date and time of the test will be communicated through the Nigerian Navy website.

Applicants can select one of the following centers for the qualifying aptitude test.

Abuja Centres:

  • Army Day Secondary School, Mogadishu Barracks.
  • Command Day Secondary School, Lungi Barracks.

Bauchi Centre:

  • Command Day Secondary School, Shadawanka Barracks.

Owerrinta Centre:

  • Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance, Owerrinta, Abia State.

Lagos Centres:

  • Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy Town Ojo.
  • Navy Town Secondary School, Navy Town Ojo.

Port-Harcourt Centres:

  • Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Borokiri.
  • Air Force Secondary School, 115 Special Operations Group, Air Force Base.

Sokoto Centre:

  • Army Day Secondary School, Giginya Barracks.

Applicants are to appear for the Aptitude Test with the following:

  • Photocopies of Degree and NYSC Discharge Certificate.
  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
  • Acknowledgement Form.
  • Photocopies of foreign certificates (if any).

Submission of Form

After completing the application form at https://portal.joinnigeriannavy.com/Identity/Enlistment/Register, applicants should click on ‘SUBMIT’ on the portal to generate their Transaction ID. It is advised that applicants then print a copy of the ‘Application Summary’.

Applicants should be aware that the entire special enlistment process is free of charge and should not give money to anyone under any circumstances.
